6 Things I Look Forward to at Capshaw

  1. A chance to start over having learned much at LBC. I have learned so much about leadership, preaching, timing, ect at Lancaster. I am excited about the opportunity to go into a Church with a little more wisdom than I had coming into Lancaster.
  2. New friends. Julie and I are excited about the opportunity to get to know a lot of new people.
  3. Alabama stuff – I must say, I miss Rick and Bubba, Sun-Drop, BBQ chicken with White sauce, football, pepper sauce on turnip greens, Rockets, TN River.
  4. There are a few things about Kentucky that I will not miss – Having to slam on my brakes to avoid crashing into an Amish buggy, cold weather, hills – lots of hills (I’m trying to be a runner), that’s pretty much it.
  5. BUILT IN BABY SITTERS! There are advantages to being close to your parents and inlaws. They are begging to keep the babies. As much as it breaks our hearts to have a quite meal, we are going to suffer through it, for their sakes.
  6. The opportunity to build a great Church in my home state.

  1. On number 3 you have forgotten one word……..TALLADEGA!!!

If you truly want to motivate folks in this great state you need to grow a ’stache, wear dark shades that look like safety glasses, and drive really fast.

    Seriously…grow the ’stache.

  2. You’ll miss Ale-8 One. That is great stuff only found in KY

  3. Zach in a ’stache…HA! Dude if you do that you gotta send me a pic LOL!

  4. Your #3 made me homesick and I just got back from Bama. I am jealous about your move. :) Seriously, I’m glad for you and Julie and pray the Lord’s richest blessings on your new ministry.

  5. I don’t see the ’stache either, I think it would be worth a smile if not a good chuckle. Come to think of it I could use a good chuckle, go for it Zach but send me a picture too!

  6. #3 – I hope we can get down there to experience some or all of those things sometime Zach. We’ll have to make a plan :-) .
